Abstract | The "IDRA Newsletter" serves as a vehicle for communication with educators, school board members, decision-makers, parents, and the general public concerning the educational needs of all children in Texas and across the United States. The theme of this issue is "Religion Equity." Articles include: (1) Religion Equity in Schools -- Protecting Students and Their Civil Rights (Paula N. Johnson); and (2) Religion Equity and School Dress Codes (Sulema Carreón-Sánchez and Phoebe Schlanger). In a section titled "Six Teens Win 2018 National Essay Contest Awards," Intercultural Development Research Association (IDRA) Coca-Cola Valued Youth Program tutors share stories of the program's impact on their lives.
