Abstract | This quantitative study compares the course grades earned by adult learners enrolled in college algebra amid different delivery formats to determine if one option is more viable than the other at a southeastern community college in the United States. Presented as a Dissertation in Practice (DiP), three manuscripts are incorporated in this study. The first manuscript identifies the study's problem of practice which is to enhance the knowledge of academic advisors at community colleges for recommending delivery formats to adult learners who want to enroll in college algebra and earn a course grade of A, B, or C to complete their two-year associate degree. The first manuscript also discusses the problem of practice as it relates to equity, social justice, and ethics with respect to adult learners. The second manuscript identifies four research questions in response to the problem of practice, presents the data collected, discloses the data's nature and limitations, and provides the study's discoveries. The third manuscript presents a summary of the problem of practice and its findings along with a blueprint for academic practitioners to implement at their institutions to enrich the knowledge of academic advisors when advising adult learners.
