AbstractAs the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region becomes increasingly intertwined in the global economy, investment continues to be made in the educational sector. Multidimensional approaches to higher education have greatly influenced the state of business and government in the region. The "Handbook of Research on Higher Education in the MENA Region: Policy and Practice" examines the need for a paradigm shift in the area of post-secondary education and innovation in the emerging, yet relatively understudied, MENA region. This book is a comprehensive reference work for researchers, students, educators, and professionals who are interested in exploring how global higher education is influencing the prosperity and progress of the MENA region. Following a preface and an acknowledgment section by the editor, this book contains the following chapters: (1) Introduction (Neeta Baporikar); (2) Towards a Paradigm Shift in Higher Education in the MENA Region (Hayat Al-Khatib); (3) Higher Education in MENA through Global Lenses: Lessons Learned from International Rankings (Shadi Hijazi, Ben Sowter, and Hillol Nag); (4) Linking Education to Creating a Knowledge Society: Qatar's Investment in the Education Sector (Alan S. Weber); (5) Impact of Ethical Dilemmas on the Dignity of Higher Education and Research (Krishna Prasad Shetty); (6) Critical Review of Curriculum in Legal Financial Studies in Turkey: Perspectives and Prospects (Deboshree Banerji and Rituparna Das); (7) The Role of Social Capital in Higher Education Institutions (Kijpokin Kasemsap); (8) Entrepreneurship Approach to Higher Education Policy Aspects (Mukund Deshpande); (9) Student Feedback Process in Enhancement of Quality of Higher Education (Jukka Ojasalo); (10) Networking International Student Collaboration and Experiential Exercise Projects (José G.
