Abstract	The purpose of this document is to provide information and resources on special education for charter school sponsors and charter school directors. This document is the result of collaborative input from individuals who work in and with charter schools in Minnesota. It also represents the collaborative efforts of the following divisions of the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) who work to ensure the provision of a free and appropriate education for children and youth with disabilities attending Minnesota charter schools: (1) School Choice Programs and Services; (2) Special Education Policy; (3) Special Education Compliance and Assistance; and (4) Program Finance. Appendix includes: Connecting Federal/Minnesota Disability Categories and Teacher Licensure. A glossary is included. (Contains 1 footnote.)
