AbstractColleges and universities are being held more and more accountable for outcomes. Therefore, it is important that a college knows how its curriculum truly prepares individual students for their desired field of employment. This study was completed to determine the extent to which graduates of a physical education and exercise science program believed the curriculum adequately prepared them for their capstone experience, graduate school, and their professional careers in the allied health field. Preparation was examined by asking graduates not only if they felt prepared in specific areas, but also if they believed the preparation was important in relation to what was needed for graduate school and their professional careers. This study was conducted through a mixed method design that included quantitative data from a survey sent out to a 30 year pool of graduates and qualitative data that was obtained through interviews of selected survey participants. The results will hopefully yield some insight as to what changes can be made to better fulfill the program objectives for the university being evaluated as well as similar programs elsewhere.
