AbstractThis manual, "Course Information for the Graduation Program, Grade 10, 11, and 12 Courses: 2009-2010," was approved by the Minister of Education on July 30, 2009 for setting out graduation requirements. The manual provides information for schools about courses that students take in Grades 10, 11, and 12. It is updated annually with relevant information for each school year. This book is divided into chapters that represent different types of courses and credentials for which students earn credits toward graduation. Each chapter provides critical information for schools. This Introduction alerts schools to new courses or external credentials in a section called "What's New?". Chapter 1 lists the Foundations Studies courses (and External Credentials) in the 1995 Graduation Program and the Required Courses (and External Credentials) in the 2004 Graduation Program. Chapter 2 lists Ministry-Developed courses that have curriculum developed by the Ministry. It includes course titles and codes, grade levels, educational program guides for each course, and the number of credits students can earn for each course. Chapter 3 provides information about credits students can earn through External Credentials. Chapter 4 provides information about Board/Authority Authorized courses that boards of education or independent school authorities have approved, which can count toward Selected Studies in the 1995 Graduation Program or toward Elective Credits in the 2004 Graduation Program. Chapter 5 provides information about Career Programs. Chapter 6 provides information about Locally Developed courses. (ERIC).
