Abstract | As Arizona strives for a first-rate educational system, the foundation of care and education for our youngest children remains far too weak. This new report, "A Decade of Data: The Compensation and Credentials of Arizona's Early Care and Education Workforce," marks ten years of data on trends in the wages, benefits, and education levels of teachers in all types of licensed child care centers throughout Arizona. (Three appendixes include: (1) Methodology; (2) 2007 Survey Questions; and (3) 2007 Survey Responses. Contains 27 endnotes, 16 charts and 2 tables.) [Financial support was provided by the Governor's Office for Children, Youth and Families--Division for School Readiness with funding from the Child Care Development Fund, the Arizona Head Start State Collaboration Office, and First Things First.] (As Provided). |
