AbstractIn October 2005, Keep Scotland Beautiful commissioned the SCRE Centre at the University of Glasgow to undertake an evaluation of the Eco Schools Programme in Scotland. Eco Schools is a programme for environmental management, certification and sustainable development education. It is an international programme that was developed in 1994 in response to the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (Earth Summit) held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. The Programme was introduced in Scotland and the rest of the UK in 1995. The following are appended: (1) Structure of the Eco Schools Programme; (2) Methodology; and (3) Overview of the main findings from the questionnaire survey. (Contains 14 footnotes, 4 figures, and 17 tables.) [This report was published by the Scottish the SCRE Centre, University of Glasgow.] (Author).
