Abstract | The "ACNJ Child Advocate" is published by the Association for Children of New Jersey three times a year. ACNJ collects, analyzes, and distributes information on the well-being of children in New Jersey so that policymakers can pinpoint problems and work toward solutions. It reports data on key indicators of child well-being in each county and in major cities through its Kids Count publications. This issue of "ACNJ Child Advocate" contains the following articles: (1) Low-Income Families Benefit from Corzine's Budget; (2) Make Kids Count: Help Us Build a Better Future for All New Jersey Children (Cecilia Zalkind); (3) ACNJ Report: Corzine Must Make Early Learning a State Priority; (4) ACNJ Announces Legislative Agenda; (5) Lack of Classrooms May Slow Pre-K Enrollment: New School Construction Plan Must Address Preschool Classrooms; (6) New Jersey Ranks 36th for Childhood Obesity ACNJ's Child Health Month Offers Help to Combat Problem (Cecilia Traini); and (7) Kids Count: Hunterdon Tops Kids Count Rankings, Cumberland Comes in Last.
