Abstract | This report presents information on financial resources provided to undergraduates at Minnesota postsecondary institutions in fiscal year 2001, corresponding to academic year 2000-2001. The financial resources reported are grants, loans, and student earnings that help students pay tuition, fees, room and board, and other costs of attending postsecondary education. The data cover resources used by undergraduates attending the 118 Minnesota postsecondary education institutions that were eligible to participate in the state grant program. Data were obtained from the Higher Education Services Office and other state programs and from financial aid directors of the institutions. Data are presented in table form for the entire state, Minnesota's two-year colleges, the public four-year universities, private four-year institutions, and the University of Minnesota system. Appendix 1 contains definitions of financial aid programs, and Appendix 2 contains totals by program for fiscal years 1987 through 1999. (Contains 126 tables and 7 endnotes.) (SLD) |
