AbstractIn December 2001, the Education Trust released preliminary findings from its new database, Dispelling the Myth Online, in a report titled Dispelling the Myth Revisited (DTMR). This followup report is the first of several multilayered looks at high-performing schools in the database. It contains additional information about DTMR schools. The lists (in tabular form) in this report answer these questions: (1) which of the DTMR schools had high test scores for at least two grade levels; (2) which schools of the DTMR report had high test scores in both reading/language arts and mathematics; and (3) which schools from the DTMR met both of the above criteria. The first list, Multiple Grades: Math and/or Reading, contains 1,642 schools. The second list, Multiple Subjects: Math and Reading, contains 1,969 schools with high scores in both subject areas, and the third list, Meet Both of the Above Criteria, contains 1,187 schools. Some technical notes explain the ways in which these lists were compiled. (SLD)
