Abstract | Today's global marketplace demands that employees have cross-cultural skills and an understanding of international business as well as different cultures. College and university students have unique opportunities available to them to gain these skills and obtain experience working abroad, which may help them attain international careers. College and university (and other) career centers have a responsibility and role in helping students achieve these goals. One university's work abroad program developed by, and run through, a university career and student services offices is described. (Contains 11 references.) (Author/SLD) |
