| Abstract | This directory lists 24 locations for various "rite of passage" programs. These programs are designed to empower youth at a time of life transition, especially during the middle school years, when children feel most vulnerable and are most "at-risk." The directory gives a brief description of each program and provides the names of contact persons, addresses, and, in most cases, telephone numbers. The directory also lists 7 individuals who are experts and consultants, 11 resources, and 12 organizations which also offer various programs. The directory notes that the person, programs, and organizations listed were selected on the basis of their potential usefulness to persons working in New York State. (CR) |
