Abstract	This report focuses on two of New York City's emerging Latino populations, Colombians and Dominicans. The purpose is to present baseline data on socioeconomic indicators, economic status and labor force participation, and immigration and naturalization characteristics. When the information is available, comparative data are presented for other Latino groups, non-Hispanic whites, and non-Hispanic blacks. Data are from the U.S. Census and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. The overwhelming majority of Colombians and Dominicans in New York City were born abroad. Members of both groups between the ages of 3 and 25 have slightly lower rates of school enrollment than do whites and blacks, but their enrollment rates are comparable to those of other Latinos in the city. Dominicans in New York have lower levels of educational attainment than do other populations, and the educational attainment of Colombians is behind that of non-Latino whites. Data are presented in the following categories: (1) Sociodemographic Indicators of Households and Individuals; (2) Labor Force Participation and Economic Status; (3) Immigration and Naturalization Characteristics; (4) Northern New Jersey's Colombian and Dominican Populations; and (5) Conclusions and Recommendations.
