Abstract | This parents' and teachers' guide presents ways that parents and families of elementary and high school students can become involved in their children's academic progress and can enhance conditions for development of all children in their community. Topics covered in this issue are family involvement, family centers, homeless children, family suppers, helping children with science, and summer archaeology. The guide contains the following articles: (1) "How Do Family and Community Involvement Link with National Education Goal 8: Parental Participation?"
