| Abstract | This sourcebook is the third in a series of statistical sourcebooks covering significant topics in American life. The book attempts to provide, in one reference source, extensive material about the Hispanic population of the United States. The collection of tables displays information on a wide range of topics. With only a few exceptions, each table presents information about the Hispanic population, the White population, and a total for Americans of all races and ethnic groups. This provides a context for the interpretation of the data about Hispanic Americans. Tables are grouped into the following categories: (1) demographics; (2) social characteristics; (3) household and family characteristics; (4) education from preprimary to high school years; (5) education in postsecondary school and educational attainment; (6) government and elections; (7) the labor force, employment, and unemployment; (8) earnings, income, poverty, and wealth; (9) crime and corrections; and (10) special topics.
