Abstract	Psychological theory holds that resilient infants, children, and youth can do well even in adverse circumstances. Corroborative research in preventive psychopathology, longitudinal cases of resilient development, and effective education suggests an ecological framework that organizes findings and can help guide research on educational resilience within the contexts of the home, school, and community. Protective and adverse factors and indicators of each can be identified for each context. The framework integrates literature on educational and psychological conditions and programs that may be altered for increased learning and constructive development. It suggests improved practices and collaborative roles for educators, parents, and psychologists that seem likely to promote educational resilience. (Contains 1 table and 116 references.) (Author)
