Abstract | This counselor's resource guide is intended to provide a vast listing of career guidance-related resources that are commonly requested by counselors. The listing for each resource includes complete publication data, a source address, price information, and a resource description that has been taken directly from catalogs or other promotional literature. Included among the resources listed are publications, time-saving resources, multimedia aids, software, and governmental agencies and other agencies that can assist career counselors. The resource listings are organized as follows: resources for parents, guardians, and public; assessment resources; career development and guidance resources for elementary, middle school, and high school students; career information delivery systems; placement and employability skills resources; postsecondary education and training resources; resources for special populations, vocational educational course offerings; a glossary of terms, definitions, and acronyms; and sources for additional information. Most of the resources listed are not directed toward counselors in any one area of the country; however, the sections on postsecondary education and training resources and sources for additional information in particular include extensive listings of institutions, agencies, contact persons, and networks located in Texas.
