Abstract | This curriculum guide was developed to help teachers use the new textbook adopted by Texas in 1991-92 for teaching the 1-semester Principles of Marketing course. The guide is organized in four sections. The first section contains information on using the curriculum guide, including an overview, sample lesson plans and other worksheets, suggestions for adapting instruction for special needs students, and information on the Texas teacher appraisal system. Section 2 contains the following materials for developing a scope and sequence: a description of the text and supporting materials, correlations of specific essential elements of the curriculum to the text, assignments correlated to essential elements, resource materials, overview of a recommended scope and sequence, and worksheets for planning a scope and sequence. The third section contains instructional planning sheets based on chapters, with elements, comments, chapter goals, and subheads. The fourth section contains individual planning sheets for each essential element and its subelements. Specific chapters and objectives are cited for each subelement. Planning sheets include comments on chapters, indicators of chapter content, suggested related materials, content, and assignments. (KC) |
