The sources were derived from computer and library bibliographical searches at Medgar Evers College, the larger City University of New York file, and the Georgia State Library in Atlanta (Georgia). The listing covers the following topics: academic achievement, aging, aggression, the arts, athletics, attitudes/views, black culture, criminal justice, economics, employment and unemployment, health, higher education, homicide, leadership, literature, marriage and family, media, mortality, race relations, religion and religious groups, schooling, self-concept, socioeconomic status, sex offenses, sexuality and gender, single households and father absence, slavery and its effects/legacy, social and psychological programs and remedies, and suicide.
