Abstract	At the conference reported in this document, participants from eight Asian Pacific countries met to exchange experiences in regard to: (1) the use of artistic and cultural heritage for educational purposes; and (2) the contribution of the educational system to appreciating, preserving, and enhancing the artistic and cultural heritage, especially in the context of "culture for all." Five chapters make up this report. Chapter 1 is a general introduction. The remaining chapters concern: (1) the dimensions of culture and heritage: (2) the artistic and cultural heritage in support of learning in school curricular areas; (3) appreciation, preservation, and enhancement of the artistic and cultural heritage through use in the classroom; and (4) suggestions for action at the national and regional level. Three annexes contain the agenda, list of participants, and list of documents. Three appendices contain the texts of three speeches made at the meeting: (1) welcoming remarks by R. R. Singh, Assistant Director General, UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Asia and the Pacific; (2) E. Nathalang, Ministry of Education in Thailand; (3) Minister of Education in Thailand, K.
