Abstract	The first of two volumes provides information about data resources available at the Henry A. Murray Research Center of Radcliffe College, a multidisciplinary research center that is a national repository for social and behavioral science data on human development and social change; topics of special concern to women are collection priorities. The collection includes studies with both male and female subjects from a wide range of ages and racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic class groups. These data are collected using a variety of methods including longitudinal, cross-sectional, survey, case study, and experimental designs. The studies originate in many academic disciplines: psychology, psychiatry, sociology, education, political science, anthropology, and economics. The status of each data set is indicated: a--data that are fully acquired and ready for use; and b--data that are acquired, but not fully documented and stored, and therefore less easily used. An abstract for each data set describes the focus of the study, the sample, the methods used, and the year(s) of data collection. Each data set is indexed according to the methods and content focus of the study. Categories describing the characteristics of each data set are listed at the end of the abstract. The guide also includes abstracts for some data sets available through the Inter-university Consortium for Social and Political Research (ICPSR) that complement Murray Center holdings and research concerns. Designed to facilitate the search for data sets with particular characteristics, the second volume lists each data set according to the methods and content focus of the study. (SD)
