| Abstract | This final report provides a synthesis of conference presentations by representatives from institutions in 17 Latin American and the Caribbean nations. The material includes descriptions about institutions of higher education planning and developing of their respective schools of education, ministries of education, and national and regional programs designed under the umbrella of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to meet the educational needs of developing nations and to implement change. Among the reports included are those from institutions in Colombia, Costa Rica, Haiti, Mexico, Ecuador, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil. (NL) |
