AbstractThis document contains two case studies of adult education programs in Cameroon. Both case studies begin with a "face sheet" on which is recorded basic information about the program and the case study itself. One case study is intended to evaluate the impact of the agricultural university center in the Dschang area from 1977-1987 and to provide guidelines for organizing extension and outreach activities more efficiently. An introduction describes the center. Other sections describe the study's methodology and extension problems in coffee production and marketing, food crop production, and animal production. Also addressed are extension problems with local organizations, the potential role of the university center as perceived by small farmers, the potential role of the university center as perceived by public and private institutions' staff members, and the potential role of the university center as perceived by staff members of public and private institutions. A four-item bibliography is included. The second case study describes the educational activities of Cameroon agriculture extension stations, which are aimed at farmers operating farms from one-half acre to three acres in size. Major sections describe the stations' setting, goals, process of planning and conducting programs, the participants and their needs, the role taken by extension agents, the content of the programs, the history of the stations, and the stations' current status. In addition to the case descriptions, this document includes information on the World Perspective case study project, indexes of all cases by country and by category, and guidelines for contributors.
