Abstract | The Manitoba Department of Education's curriculum guide to German instruction in grades 7 through 9 presents the approved curriculum, makes recommendations for its implementation, and provides information about sets of teaching materials from which teachers can make appropriate selections. The guide outlines the rationale for the curriculur and instructional approach, the program's general goals, specific language skill aims and objectives, a program overview, suggestions for student evaluation, suggested time allotments, approved texts and their content, related instructional and teacher's materials, and the grammatical concepts to be taught in junior high German. A more extensive analysis of grammatical content of each of the recommended texts is also charted. (MSE) |
