Abstract | This survey deals with the attitude of Arkansas principals toward matters which were lacking in their preparation and what should have been provided to them. Of the 1,021 principals in Arkansas' public and private schools, 661 usable responses were received. Emphasized is the dichotomy between theory and practice as the basis for principals' preparation. Results indicate a contradiction between team building and a lack of interpersonal skills. Curricular change is proposed. Appended are responses ranked in descending order of acceptability. (SI) |
