Abstract | This collective bargaining agreement between the San Bernardino Community College District and the San Bernardino Community College District Chapter of the California Teachers Association/National Education Association establishes conditions of employment for all certificated regular, contract, and hourly instructors; counselors; librarians; college nurses; and department heads in the district. The articles of the agreement set forth provisions related to: (1) ratification of the agreement; (2) description of the bargaining unit; (3) association rights; (4) dues deduction and organizational security; (5) consultation rights of the association; (6) academic freedom; (7) non-discrimination; (8) district rights; (9) grievance procedures; (10) wages; (11) health and welfare benefits; (12) the work calendar; (13) workload; (14) transfer and reassignment; (15) personnel files; (16) evaluation procedures; (17) job-related complaints and other charges; (18) leaves of absence; (19) mileage reimbursement; (20) safety conditions; (21) reduction in force; (22) early retirement and pre-retirement reduced workload; (23) benefits for employees retiring during the term of the agreement; (24) no concerted refusals to work; (25) effect of the agreement; (26) statutory changes; (27) a savings clause; and (28) duration of the agreement.
