Abstract | This curriculum guide contains 24 instructional units organized in four sections. The sections cover the following topics: introduction to allied health careers, health/wellness, basic sciences, and basic anatomy and physiology. Each unit contains eight basic components: performance objectives, suggested activities for the teacher, supplements, transparency masters, information sheets, assignment sheets, job sheets, tests, and answers to tests and assignment sheets. (Depending on the specific objectives, there may or may not be transparency masters, supplements, assignment sheets, or job sheets included in the unit of instruction.) All of the unit components focus on measurable and observable learning outcomes and are designed to be used in more than one lesson or class period of instruction. (KC) |
