Abstract	This manual is designed to provide Peace Corps staff with materials that can be used in the inservice training of volunteers. It addresses areas outside the realm of the volunteer's technical job assignment, areas that are directly related to a volunteer's effectiveness on the job. The manual assumes that inservice training will take place 6-12 months into a volunteer's service. Four units cover assessing volunteers' current situations, working with community leaders, mobilizing resources, and developing volunteer personal support. They contain 11 sessions and almost 29 hours of training. Each session consists of a rationale, time, objectives, trainer preparation, materials, prepared newsprint, handouts, references/resources, procedures, and support materials for lectures, examples, and activities. Appendixes contain the inservice needs assessment form and all handouts for the sessions, as well as a form for evaluating the manual. (YLB)
