Abstract | The Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources' amendment of the Public Health Service Act (S. 1220) regarding Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is presented. The amendment provides for a comprehensive program of education, information, risk reduction, training, prevention, treatment, care, and research of AIDS. This volume includes a summary of the bill, background and need for legislation, text of bill as reported, committee views, votes in committee, cost estimates, regulatory impact statement, section-by-section analysis, and changes in existing law.
