| Abstract | Intended for both teachers and students, this publication, written in Spanish, briefly traces Mexico's history from its Conquest in 1519 to the overthrow of Porfirio Diaz in 1910. The following are briefly discussed: Mexico's Conquest in 1519; events immediately after the fall of Tenochtitlan; the War for Independence; Texas' separation from Mexico; the struggle between Mexico and France; the 1847 war between Mexico and the United States; the battles of La Angostura, Veracruz, Cerro Gordo, Padierna, Churubusco, Molino del Rey, Castillo de Chapultepec, and Puebla; the Cinco de Mayo; France's intervention; the 1910 Revolution; Benito Juarez; and the Plan of San Luis Potosi. The main points of the following events are listed: Texas' separation from Mexico; the struggle between Mexico and France; the alliance between France, England, and Spain; France's intervention; and the Revolution of 1910.
