Abstract | Designed for use in vocational education programs, this unit on solar space heating contains information and suggestions for teaching at the secondary school level. It focuses on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning programs. Educational objectives and educational objectives with instructional strategies are provided for each of the eight major concepts of the unit. These concepts include: (1) the sun; (2) active system design; (3) active system solar components; (4) active system installation; (5) active system service; (6) passive system design; (7) energy conservation; and (8) occupations in solar space heating. A basic competency profile chart is presented in the evaluation section. The bibliographic section contains information on publications and media, as well as 40 transparency masters. (ML) |
