Abstract | This report from the 1987 annual meeting of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology contains biographical data on the panelists in a session on selected international distance learning institutions and brief summaries of the following presentations: (1) "The Central Agricultural Broadcasting School of China" (Clement Chow); (2) "AUSSAT and All That! Reaching the Australian Outback" (Brian Fowler); (3) "Distance Education in Thailand: The STOU (Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University) Story" (George A. B. Moore); (4) "Distance Education in Turkey: The Open Education Faculty" (Karen L. Murphy and Marina Stock McIsaac); and (5) "Video-Supported Distance Education: A U.S.A. Historical Perspective" (James J. Zigerell). Background data are also provided for the Central Agricultural Broadcasting School of China, the School of the Air (Queensland, Australia); Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (Thailand); and the Turkish Open Education Faculty.
