Abstract | The collective bargaining agreement between Bard College and the Bard College Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) covering 1986-1987 is presented. Items covered in the agreement are: unit recognition, faculty notice of reappointment, tenure, adequate cause for dismissal, hearings, financial exigency, other dismissals and grievances, terms of dismissal, retirement, faculty workload, academic policy, research and travel, administrative services, housing, sabbatical leaves, promotion, merit pay, equity raises, salary, past practices, and nondiscrimination. Appendices provide information on the following fringe benefits: sick leave and disability, social security, workmen's compensation, unemployment insurance, retirement, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, major medical insurance, educational benefits, discount purchases, and professional development fellowships. A data sheet for merit raise consideration is included. (SW) |
