Abstract	This package contains an English-Language set of task procedure sheets dealing with small-engine repair and a Spanish translation of the same material. Addressed in the individual sections of the manual are the following aspects of engine tune-up, reconditioning, and troubleshooting: servicing air cleaners; cleaning gas tanks, fuel lines, and fuel filters; gapping and installing new spark plugs; cleaning, regapping, and installing old spark plugs; checking governor linkages for free movement; setting breaker point gaps; setting magnets to flywheel air gaps; timing engines; adjusting tappet clearances; checking oil and bringing it to the proper level; checking compression; filling the gas tank; starting the engine; adjusting the carburetor; grinding valve seats; grinding and lapping valves; installing valve seats and valve guides; testing and installing valve springs; checking cylinder bores; deglazing cylinders with a finish hone; checking pistons, rings, and connecting rods; installing connecting rods to pistons; checking crankshaft condition and specifications; inspecting camshaft conditions; and checking cam followers. Each task procedure sheet contains a module and task title, list of needed tools and equipment, and procedural outline. (MN)
