| Abstract | This three-section directory provides selected references and resources on health education, focusing primarily on those materials designed for health instruction. Section 1 contains textbook references and includes personal and community health education texts for all school/college levels. Topical areas such as nutrition, death and dying, and sexuality are covered, and the section also focuses on textbooks for the professional student in community health. Section 2 provides resources for health instruction and is composed of carefully updated lists of agencies and organizations, journals, and reference sources. Section 3 presents indexes of articles in seven journals of interest to health educators. These are: (1) "American Journal of Public Health" (1970-79, selected); (2)"Health Education" (1970-79); (3) "Health Education Monographs" (1970-78); (4) "Health Values" (1977-79); (5) "International Journal Of Health Education" (1970-79); (6) "The Journal of School Health" (1968-79); and (7) "Journal of the American College Health Association" (1970-79). Few books published before 1970 will be found in this directory, as the authors made an effort to keep the resources as current as possible. (JMK) |
