Abstract | This module contains an instructor's guide and student activity packet that are intended to accompany a slide/tape presentation on human relations in business. The module was developed for use in postsecondary office occupations classes in Texas. The instructor's guide includes general instructions for use in individual or group settings, the narrative for the slide/tape presentation, and specific instructions on how to use the materials. The specific instructions section contains performance objectives, suggestions for class discussion, special notes to the instructor, optional student activities, solutions for the activities completed by the students, and suggestions for evaluation of the work produced. The student activity packet consists of a section on information the student must know in order to complete the activities, the performance objectives to be attained, necessary resource materials, and the activities to be completed in order to master the competencies on which the module is based. Learning activities in the package include role playing, evaluating case studies, and using checklists. Some of the topics covered in the package are communication, self-image, workplace ethics, cooperation, personal appearance, and social skills. (KC) |
