| Abstract | This report contains descriptive summaries of the results of the Inter-Project/Inter-Country Study Visits on Educational Technology sponsored by the UNESCO Asian Programme of Educational Innovation for Development (APEID) to provide an opportunity for specialists in educational technology from the participating countries to: (1) make on-site studies of projects related to the design and management of educational technology programs and the development of low-cost, appropriate educational materials and teaching devices; (2) synthesize experiences and ideas and discuss issues and problems relating to the development of low-cost, appropriate educational materials and the use of local resources; and (3) prepare re-orientation plans for ongoing projects and programs for the development of educational materials in participating countries. An introduction to the program is followed by summary reports by the participating countries, i.e., Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The background of the institutions, projects, and programs visited in particular countries and suggestions for the re-orientation of ongoing national projects and activities are then presented.
