| Abstract | The two components of this publication are the student's book and the teacher's guide to the module, "The Business World" or "Le monde des affaires," which would be suitable for use in an advanced French course or in a class of business French. The teacher's book in French and English has four parts: (1) an explanation of the meaning and use of modules in French instruction; (2) an outline of this particular module's teaching material, objectives, audience, components, and evaluation; (3) background information on industry and second languages; and (4) suggestions for use of each part of the module. A bibliography and three master copies suitable for duplicating purposes complete the teacher's guide. The student's book, in French, presents vocabulary and skills ranging from answering an advertisement to typing a business letter. Each component is illustrated with pen-and-ink drawings, photographs, or duplications of the document in question. (AMH) |
