Abstract	Chapter 6 of a book on school law, this chapter deals with the financial support of schools. According to the author, the constitutionality of state support programs continued to be a major issue in school finance litigation during the past year. The number of cases involving financial aspects of programs for children with special needs increased, as did litigation on school tax issues, perhaps reflecting growing resistance to property tax increases. Federal programs of funding for education were also at issue in a number of cases. Cases in the chapter are organized under the headings public funds for private schools, sources and allocation of funds, and school tax issues. (Author/JM)
