It is designed to equip trainees in curriculum development with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform curriculum development tasks. At the end of the course, the trainees will be able to: (1) analyze national policies as they relate to language use and education; (2) derive appropriate objectives for language education; (3) prepare and/or select appropriate materials to facilitate the realization of the objectives of language teaching; (4) help to implement the curriculum they have designed; (5) evaluate the materials, objectives, and content of the language curriculum; and (6) help in renewing language curriculum in the light of the first five tasks.
