Abstract | This guidebook focuses on the third of five steps included in a planning system for improving local secondary and postsecondary program and facilities accessibility: generating strategies. The guidebook is comprised of four sections, each describing a specific technique for generating strategies. Techniques presented are (1) nominal group technique, (2) brainstorming, (3) synectics, and (4) charrette. Within each section, specific self-instructional activities for group leaders using that technique are given. In addition, examples of especific settings where each technique might be most effective are given. (LRA) |
