Abstract | One of two individualized courses included in a drafting curriculum, this course is designed to introduce the student to a variety of blueprints and techniques for obtaining information from them. The course is comprised of four units: (1) Introduction to Building Trades Blueprint Reading, (2) Blueprint Reading for Carpentry, (3) Blueprint Reading for Plumbing, and (4) Blueprint Reading for Sheet Metal. Each unit begins with a Unit Learning Experience Guide that gives directions for unit completion. The remainder of each unit consists of Learning Activity Packages (LAP) that provide specific information for completion of a learning activity. Each LAP is comprised of the following parts: objective, evaluation procedure, resources, procedure, supplemental sheets, study guide, and a LAP test with answers. The course is preceded by a pretest which is designed to direct the student to units and performance activities. (LRA) |
