| Abstract | This book, developed by the Nigerian Curriculum Development Project at the University of Kentucky, presents resources and suggested units for teaching about Nigeria. The resources section includes outlined background readings for teachers in the primary grades and bibliographies for teachers and parents. Four suggested units of instruction are fully detailed in the following sections. These include: an introduction to Nigeria (historically, geographically, and culturally) for children in grades two and three; a learning kit designed to instruct parents and teachers about teaching different cultures; a group of activities for acquainting young children with the food of Nigeria; and a unit plan for teaching the music of Nigeria to second and third graders.
