Abstract | This curriculum guide contains an outline of training programs for child mental health specialists at three educational levels--Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and Masters of Arts. These programs focus on the acquisition of skills and knowledge through academic subjects, clinical activities, clinical rotation services, and field experiences. The academic curriculum lists each course and its contents by educational level and by speciality, in either the area of child mental health or special education. The clinical curriculum outlines the various field experiences available to trainees at the three educational levels. The final section presents a chart of career opportunities by education level, and categorizes each employment situation as either an intervention or prevention activity. (Author/HLM) |
