AbstractThis is the fifth of eight volumes consisting of series of publications of the Center for the Study of Liberal Education for Adults (CSLEA), such as Notes and Essays, Research Reports, Occasional Papers, and Conference Reports. These materials provide both theory and practice in the area of non-credit adult liberal education offered by colleges and universities. This volume contains eight issues in the CSLEA Research Report Series from 1961-65. Titles include (1) Research Arrangements within University Adult Education Divisions, (2) A Conspectus to the Self-Study Project of University College, The University of Chicago, (3) Metroplex Assembly: An Experiment in Community Education, (4) A Comparison of the Effectiveness of Adult Residential and Non-residential Learning Situations, (5) The Development of the University Evening Colleges: As Observed in Ten Urban Universities, (6) New Perspectives in University Correspondence Study, (7) Evaluating Liberal Adult Education, and (8) The Continuing Learner (4 papers).
