| Abstract | This report is part of the National Community Education Evaluation effort, which sought to identify problems in implementing community education (1) in rural areas and (2) through an Educational Cooperative. The rural area involved is first discussed. Each of the four main project objectives are then presented, and activities to meet them are described. These are listed as major factors influencing the establishment of community education in a rural area through the multi-county educational cooperative: feasibility of employment of one community education director to serve a multi-county area, development by each unit in a multi-county area of its own community education program, and need of outside funding to continue the program. Recommendations for consideration by the community education project staff are listed. Exhibits presented throughout the report include a participant evaluation form, proposed community education organization chart, materials for instructors, and the Bowling Green-Warren County Interlocal Cooperative Agreement and Concept Statement on Community Education.
