Abstract | This teacher's manual contains thirteen leadership training units for vocational youth. Unit titles are (1) Introduction to Leadership, (2) Planning and Initiating, (3) Parliamentary Procedure, (4) Developing Group Goals, (5) Levels of Leadership in a Group, (6) Skills of a Group Leader, (7) Personal Characteristics of a Group Leader, (8) Skills of a Group Member, (9) Developing Group Cohesiveness, (10) Effective Committees, (11) Communication Skills, (12) Internal Operations of a Group, and (13) Outcomes of Leadership. Each unit contains three parts. The introductory part is the Self Instructional Guide, which contains the introduction, objectives, instructional activities, and self-quiz. The second part of each unit is the Group Instructional Guide, which is designed to facilitate group activities. The Group Instructional Guide contains an introduction, objectives, and instructional activities. The third part of each unit, the Procedures for Individual Projects, contains individualized projects designed to relate instruction to real life. (LRA) |
