AbstractThese lesson plans and student study guides and workbooks for a secondary-postsecondary-level course in continuous photoprocessing are one of a number of military-developed curriculum packages selected for adaptation to vocational instruction and curriculum development in a civilian setting. Purpose stated for the course is to expose students to fundamental concepts of the photographic process, chemistry, optics, exposure, light, and processing of color and black-and-white film; train them to use equipment and operations involved in photographic processing laboratories; and provide fundamental training in sensitometric and densitometric process control techniques and photographic reproduction. The plan of instruction, which suggests number of hours of class time devoted to each course objective, is based on the following outline allowing for six units of instruction (blocks): Photographic Fundamentals (5 lessons), Continuous Processing Fundamentals (5 lessons), Aerial Film Processing (2 lessons), Aerial Film Duplication (2 lessons), Aerial Select Printing (4 lessons), and Continuous Color Processing (3 lessons). The lesson plans contain course outlines, objectives, and information on support materials and guidance. Contents of the study guides and workbooks include objectives, informative material, study questions, and exercises. Media materials are suggested, but not provided. (YLB)
