| Abstract | After a general outline of the organization of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience and a brief introduction to its functions and activities, this annual report contains the international report. This includes: the report of the General Secretary; a list of international visits and visitors; publicity activities; a training balance sheet listing the excess of students received over the number sent abroad (or excess sent over those received) for each member country; a chart of the numbers of students sent and received by each country in 1950, 1970, 1977, 1978, and 1979; a listing of study fields of participating students; participating organizations (numbers per country); and a chart of specifics (dates, numbers, and costs) for 1980 programs in participating countries. Individual reports of these member countries are also included: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Federal Republic of Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guyana, Iceland, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and Yugoslavia.
